These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all bookings made through our Website, by phone, email, or any other platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services.

1. GENERAL

1.1 Licensed Operator: GI Express Taxi is a fully licensed private hire operator under the licensing authority of Leicester City Council.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms: Your use of this Website or any service from GI Express Taxi constitutes your unconditional agreement to these Terms.

1.3 Terminology: "You", "Your", "Client", "Customer" refer to the person booking or using our services. "We", "Us", "Our", or "GI Express Taxi" refers to the company.

1.4 Service Scope: We provide pre-booked taxi services from Leicester to major UK airports and seaports, and vice versa. All bookings must be made in advance via our booking system, email, or phone.

1.5 Amendment of Terms: GI Express Taxi may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

1.6 Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years old to use our services. Users under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or book through an adult.

2. BOOKING POLICY

2.1 Booking Confirmation: Bookings are only confirmed once you receive an email or SMS confirmation.

2.2 Booking Accuracy: You are responsible for providing accurate information, including pickup/drop-off locations, flight or ferry details, and luggage specifications.

2.3 Minimum Notice: Online bookings should be made at least 3 hours in advance. For urgent bookings, contact us directly at 0116 4105025.

2.4 Pricing: All fares are in GBP (£) and inclusive of VAT. Prices shown are estimated and subject to verification based on actual details.

2.5 Amendments: Changes to bookings must be requested at least 6 hours before pickup time and are subject to availability.

3. PAYMENT

3.1 Payment Options: We accept payment by cash, debit/credit cards, or online at the time of booking.

3.2 Additional Charges: Extra charges may apply for waiting time, parking, tolls, extra stops (£2.00/mile, minimum £5.00 per diversion), and excess luggage.

3.3 Refunds: Refunds are processed within 5-7 working days and are subject to our cancellation policy (see Section 4).

4. CANCELLATION & REFUND

4.1 Free Cancellation: Bookings cancelled 24 hours or more before the scheduled pickup will receive a full refund minus 2% processing fee.

4.2 Late Cancellation: Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup time are non-refundable.

4.3 No-Show Policy: If the customer fails to appear within the complimentary waiting time and cannot be contacted, the booking is considered a No-Show and non-refundable.

4.4 Complimentary Waiting Time:

  • Airport pickups: 60 mins
  • Seaport/Train Station: 30 mins
  • Other locations: 15 mins
  • Additional waiting is charged at £0.50/min.

5. DRIVER & VEHICLE

5.1 Driver No-Show: If your driver does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled time and you haven’t been contacted, you may be eligible for a full refund.

5.2 Vehicle Allocation: We reserve the right to allocate appropriate vehicles based on the passenger count and luggage.

5.3 Child Seats: Available upon request (£10 extra). Passengers are responsible for proper installation and compliance with UK laws.

5.4 Luggage: Passengers must provide accurate luggage details. If the vehicle is unable to accommodate excess baggage, the driver may refuse the journey.

6. LIABILITY

6.1 Service Disruption: GI Express Taxi is not liable for missed flights, delays, or losses due to unforeseen events like traffic, weather, or accidents.

6.2 Lost Property: We maintain a lost property log and will assist in returning found items, but we are not liable for lost or damaged belongings.

6.3 Travel Insurance: Clients are encouraged to have appropriate travel insurance.

6.4 Liability Limit: Our total liability is limited to £100 per booking unless prior written agreement is made.

7. BEHAVIOUR & SAFETY

7.1 Passenger Conduct: Abusive, violent, or unsafe behaviour will lead to immediate cancellation without refund.

7.2 Seat Belts: All passengers must wear seat belts. Children must be secured appropriately.

7.3 Smoking/Alcohol: Smoking (including e-cigarettes) and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited in our vehicles.

7.4 Damage to Vehicle: Clients are liable for any damage caused to the vehicle interior or exterior.

8. DATA & PRIVACY

8.1 Data Collection: We collect necessary personal information to process your bookings. For full details, refer to our [Privacy Policy].

8.2 Marketing Consent: By using our platform, you consent to receive service and promotional emails. You can unsubscribe anytime.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

9.1 Ownership: All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, and software, is the property of GI Express Taxi.

9.2 Restrictions: No part of the website may be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without written permission.

10. GOVERNING LAW

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
